Today, i was hesitant to call Unionbank to follow up the status of my card because kakatawag ko lang nung monday. At tuesday lang ngayon and ang sabi sa 'kin last week, try ko daw ng mga around wednesday. Tapos tinry ko lang. So tumawag ako..
Bogcess: Good afternoon! Follow up ko lang po status ng EON Card ko.
Ms.Jaivi of Unionbank: Ano po name sir?
Bogcess: @#$%^#$%^&*$%^ (Parang mura lang ah, sorry po confidential eh)
Ms. Jaivi of Unionbank: Sir available na po.
Bogcess: Di nga?!
Ms. Jaivi of Unionbank: Yup sir.
Bogcess: So as in pwede ko na makuha mamaya?
Ms. Jaivi of Unionbank: Hmm.. Opo, pero hanggang 3pm lang po kami.
(Its 1:00pm ph that time)
Bogcess: Sige, punta na po ako now.
Ms. Jaivi of Unionbank: Ok sir.
When i got there, i just presented my id and paid the P350 and voila!
Binigay na EON Card ko!
Nagulat ako sa bilis ng procedure. Imagine, 1 week lang inantay ko from application to approval! Galing! Tinry ko sanang picturan sarili ko with my card para mas mukang kapanipaniwala kaso as in hagard talaga ako ngayon. Siguro mga after 1 week ttry ko picturan. Haha! Kaya solo nalang muna siya.

How do you apply for an EON account? Pwede ba online?
Dati po pwede. Pero as of now disabled ang pag-create ng account online. Best thing you could do is go to your nearest Unionbank Branch and open an account there. Promise as in saglit lang mag-open. For more info on how to open an account, go to this link:

Ironically, I have lost my eon card a few days back, but I was able to still make transactions using it, haha...

@Jo Ma Jah - I don't know regarding with that matter yet. But if you have a paypal account, you can do transactions with it naman kasi its online-banking naman eh. So considered pa rin siya as a transaction so active pa rin account mo. Besides, pwede mo namang ipunin muna funds mo dun until you get back here sa philippines. I hope that helps. :)

One of the good thing with Unionbank EON is that you can use it anywhere in the world, "where visa card is accepted" of course. I just tried using mine in Hongkong for purchase pero haven't tried doing withdrawal, takot ako baka ma capture ang card... :) parang credit card lang din sya, kelangan mo din pirmahan ung merchant copy nung transaction receipt...
